DAY 15 - A LAST DAY

Image
Goodbye Blue Bay. We'd intended to drive to lovely La Morne but the weather changes for the worse so we stay closer to home and back through the tea plantations. And a quick farewell to Parvathi

DAY 14 - SNORKEL-DAY

We wander a lift down to the beach to meet our fellow snorkelers (Dutch couple and two French soldiers on leave from Reunion), and get into a ‘glass-bottomed boat’ (which sadly serves mainly to deminstrate what a bad state the coral is in).  The water though is gin-clear as they boast out here, and there are shoals of smaller fish when we have a dip                                                                                                           ...

DAY 12 - A DAY RELAXING

Image
Same breakfast delivery this morning and we c rack 3 eggs into last night's leftover sauce to make a (though I say so myself) superb shakshuka, on the terrace                                                          Head out north on along winding coast road through lovely countryside, stopping at La Vallee de Fernay     and back for Scrabble and a dip in our pool It's looking unlikely that we’ll get onto a flight on Friday (there are six free seats but already seven standby pax ahead of us), so time to extend the car for 48 hours and we plan to stay in Blue Bay (where, hopefully, we'll get some snorkelling)
