Swaziland [now eSwatini), Kruger and BLYDE RIVER CANYON - PT 3

The final couple of nights are west of Kruger as we head back towards Joburg, in what the Tourist Board likes to call the Panorama Region.  It's certainly full of natural beauties, centred around the Blyde River canyon (third biggest in the world after Grand Canyon and Fish River Canyon in Namibia).

First stop, the Blyde River dam

Next, the stunning Three Rondavels (named after the local, 'beehive' huts, usually with a thatched roof)

Our overnight spot is one of those very rare creatures that actually lives up to the grand title that it's given itself: Panoramic Chalets, ...  Here's the view from the swimming pool

Next morning, the Pinnacle, a 30m quartzite rock majestically erupting from its canyon floor

Then God's Window

and back

to celebrate at our last night's site with an excellent steak supper, with papaya dessert

Last day is 300km, primarily on motorways, back to Johannesburg airport
